Certificates of Lawful Development (Proposed Use or Development)
November 2011

The system of Lawful Development Certificates enables an applicant to apply to their Local Authority for a certificate saying that a proposed use or development would be lawful, and not require planning permission.  This is quite common for those wishing to undertake extensions to their property.

As with all Lawful Development Certificates the onus is on the applicant to demonstrate their case, which is where Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy can assist.  We can guide you on the process and highlight the type and amount of evidence that will be required, as well as prepare a detailed statement drawing the Councilís attention to the key facts that support the case.

Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy specialises in the Staffordshire and wider West Midlands area, including Leek, Burton-on-Trent, Stafford, Leek, Tamworth, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Aldridge and Birmingham.  We have also undertaken work nationwide, including Devon and Hampshire.

If you need help applying for planning permission, have had planning permission refused, or just want some general planning advice, please do not hesitate to contact us.
