Permission Granted to Remove Live/Work Condition
January 2012
Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy has recently been successful in lifting a live-work condition from a rural barn conversion scheme in Staffordshire.  Consent had originally been granted to convert the former agricultural buildings to form three live-work units, but the applicant was having difficultly in any attracting any interest in the properties.  Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy presented a detailed argument demonstrating that there was no interest in the continued commercial use of the premises and that the removal of the live-work condition would not be unsustainable.  The Local Authority accepted the arguments presented by Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy and granted planning permission accordingly to remove the condition.
